Photoshop layers

I have been a bit amiss with returning to uni, COVID, a workplace injury, and returning to work. along with just getting my head around what the heck I just do to myself?
Time management went out the window, but week 9 and wrangling photoshop particularly getting my head around layers and masks got my motivation back
So  I had some fiddles with some images. Although I feel like I sprained my poor brain I managed to not make just one but several layered adjusted and rearranged. though I did use copies of my images have not actually chopped them up in fact I think I did a lot of virtual screwing the page up, swearing at it and chucking it out whilst wrestling this image into submission.
anyway, here it is the multi-layered redone because I needed to take a screenshot of my photoshop layering adventure.
What did my head in about photoshop, layers and that all I had to do was either turn them on and off and I could even rearrange them as I liked.
I could even make a blank layer with a colour mask to put my bits of an image on.
it really is not as hard as I thought it was once I got my head around it.
It is more like making a collage with paper but you have to put the bits on separate sheets once you cut them out. That was the other trick for me, it's still hit-and-miss with the lasso and/or the selection tools.
It is going to take much more practice but ill get there for sure.
This is why I came to this course in the first place.
